June 3, 2019 (FREDERICTON, NB) – Nurses attending the Canadian Federation of Nurses Unions biennial convention are expected to kick off the event this afternoon with a healthy walk through Fredericton.
Participants will leave the Fredericton Convention Centre, 670 Queen Street, at 2:30 p.m. for the several-kilometer walk. They will proceed east to the Bill Thorpe Walking Bridge, cross the Saint John River and take a looping route on the east side of the river before returning to downtown Fredericton.
Registration for the five-day convention is scheduled to take place after the walk, followed by an evening reception with remarks by Canadian Labour Congress President Hassan Yussuff.
