The Canadian Labour Congress is inviting union members to challenge the federal government to make real progress toward women’s economic justice. Join the call on the federal government to take three simple actions in 2017: table pay equity legislation, sign a new deal on child care with the provinces and territories, and put paid domestic violence leave in the Canada Labour Code. These three goals are achievable, but the government needs to feel the pressure to act.
To support this effort, the CLC have released a new video on pay equity, and an online tool that individuals can use to write their Members of Parliament.
We encourage you to share the video and the letter-writing tool link, whywait2017.ca, widely. Use the hashtag #WhyWait or #Pourquoiattendre on social media and spread the word!
