Manitoba’s Nurses Elect Darlene Jackson as President-Elect, Rally for Safe Patient Care

Manitoba’s Nurses have elected Darlene Jackson as President-Elect of the Manitoba Nurses Union for a two-year term beginning on July 1, President Sandi Mowat announced today. Jackson was elected on the final day of MNU’s AGM.

The election results were announced following a Rally for Safe Patient Care at the Manitoba Legislature where hundreds of nurses, health care professionals and concerned Manitobans spoke out against continued cuts and changes to health care.

MNU represents over 12,000 nurses of all designations across Manitoba.
