This week public health care advocates across the country (see the special note below if you are an Ontario resident) are meeting with their Members of Parliament (MPs) to let them know that we need to negotiate a strong Health Accord to ensure that the provinces and territories can preserve and improve our public health care. We’d like to offer you the opportunity to participate in this lobby too!
Show your support for public health care by making a quick phone call to your Federal Member of Parliament in their constituency office during the week of May 23rd-27th.
Through this spring constituency lobby we want to make it clear to politicians that it is particularly important that the federal government enforce the standards in the Canada Health Act, including the ban on extra-billing and user fees, as well as to take action on seniors care and support a National Public Drug Plan.
